Lee the Horse Logger and his 5 Suffolk Punch draft horses are spending a couple of nights in the field on the west side of our parking lot. They originally set out from East Glacier, Montana and have been on the road for 5-1/2 years. Lee and the team have been to Boston, Denver, Portland, Seattle and Eugene. During good weather, their goal is to make 100 miles a week.
When they leave here, around noon on Friday, they are heading for a logging job in Massachusetts. According to Lee's sign, they will arrive "the minute we get there. . . not a second sooner".
